My story
In May 2025, Lizette received her Masters of Landscape Architecture at the City College of New York. While in her studies she held LA internships with AECOM (New York) and Marvel Design (Puerto Rico). As a recipient of the 2024 UNILOCK Paving the Future Scholarship, she looks forward to sharing her creative magic in the future development of urban green spaces. Her work focuses on celebrating all artistic forms within the outdoor built environment for the purpose of emphasizing the importance of bio-diversity and climate resilience.
For over a decade and through her studies, Lizette excelled as a print, embellishment and embroidery designer for some of the most popular US fashion brands including Madewell, Anthropologie, Rebecca Taylor and Alice & Olivia. The most gratifying part of her career has been seeing her designs worn by women who helped shape her identity and values, such as Nobel Peace Prize winner, Malala Yousafzai and singers Gwen Stefani and Janelle Monae.
Lizette also holds a Bachelor's degree in Art/Fashion Design from Parsons The New School for Design, has been published in two fashion design books & also a winning recipient of the National Foundation for the Arts/YoungArts awards – Class of 2007 – recognized for her work in Visual Arts and Design, joining a distinguished alumni network that includes artist Daniel Arsham and actor Timothée Chalamet.
